Yesterday we took a quick trip to Fossil Creek. It was our first time visiting this place and we will go back for sure!
The water has a gorgeous emerald color due to travertine deposits and it’s crystal clear. It’s Winter, but water wasn’t that cold and there were just a few people around. Probably the best time to visit. I can only imagine this creek during the Summertime with hordes trashing the site.
My boys had lots of fun!
I have not used the macro lens for ages! It’s a Canon 60mm f/2.8 which I use with my Canon 7D. I thought to share some images I made last Friday. I like this lens a lot although it demands great light for handheld shots, even if it’s bright outside. You’ll notice the grain as I pumped ISO to 800 or so for the flower photo.
I was picking raspberries in the backyard when I noticed this handsome guy looking at me! He was sunbathing on a raspberry leaf! Such strange creature!
And Cashew Caju grows exploring our home…
We are totally in love with him!
We will have to wait a few more weeks to see flowers in Flagstaff. I am ready for Spring! These images are from Spring 2012, sometimes I just forget to show them…
